About the Speaker

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) will host a virtual presentation given by Con Edison relating to the proposed Brooklyn Clean Energy Hub on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. ET. The purpose of the presentation is to provide a forum for Con Edison to outline the Brooklyn Clean Energy Hub proposal and address certain technical feasibility questions regarding the project with offshore wind developers, transmission developers and other interested parties.

The specific topics Con Edison is planning to cover are:

  • The Hub’s ability to inject up to 6,000 megawatts of offshore wind into Con Edison’s local delivery system and elsewhere
  • Options for interconnecting cable to the Hub site
  • Options for routing approaches to the Hub
  • NYISO process and cost responsibility
